Jodi is a living testament that one is always young enough to learn. After all, she is a seasoned beauty industry veteran, having started her career in 1999. Yet, nothing excites her more than discovering new techniques and innovations that would further improve her craft.

"This is sort of a second career for me. I graduated from Aveda (Minneapolis Aveda Institute) and went on to some more schooling at St. Paul College as an advanced esthetician," she tells Lisa Ash.
A highly trained esthetician, Jodi obtained her Cidesco certification from St. Paul, enabling her to offer more services than your average esthetician. In addition, she acquired her certification in Laser Technology from the National Laser Institute in 2011.

Jodi's website always lists promos and perks. For instance, first-time customers will enjoy a $10 coupon that is mailed to them they can claim for their treatment. They also get $10 as a referral bonus and $10 if it's their birthday (one coupon per service/visit).
Her loyal customers always seek her for her eyebrow design and makeup skills. But, unfortunately, a few people are born with the touch, where the customer forgets everything else to be just present in the moment.

"My philosophy has always been to provide serious skincare, but with a gentle touch," she says.
Lisa Ash asked Jodi if she had any advice for people who deal with dry skin and Jodi had this to say:
"Really, just keep your skin more hydrated or maybe change your products. Well, we don't really need heavy products in summer. But Winter air is so dry, and our skin just feels so dehydrated, especially if you are outdoors; just really protect your face," she says.
"You just have to get that dead skin off because that would help you moisturize better," Jodi adds.
Jodi's Other Passion
What most people don't know about Jodi is that she has a weakness for dogs, "especially little ones!" Her first was a Yorkie, who unfortunately encountered all sorts of problems, which taught Jodi how to care for such fragile creatures.
She now has four dogs—2 Chihuahuas and 2 mini–Australian Shepherds. And, although she is not currently fostering dogs, she has done so in the past and remains an advocate for dog rescue.
